India is exploring opportunities to invest in alternative energy of Ukraine
India is interested in cooperation with Ukraine in the development of alternative energy. This was stated by Indian Ambassador to Ukraine Manoj Kumar Bharti.
The parties agreed to study strategic plans in the energy sector of both countries and move on to the next stage of cooperation. A press release of the Ukrainian Energy Ministry informed.
"The Indian side said that there are opportunities and an interest in cooperation, in particular, there are many business groups who want to invest in Ukraine's alternative energy." An important aspect of cooperation is the work on the preparation of documents and permits so that investors can start implementing projects faster, smoother and sooner.
It was also reported that following the meeting between Deputy Minister Natalya Boyko and Indian diplomat, the parties agreed to study strategic plans in the energy sector of both countries and decided to process to the next stage of cooperation.
 
One of the biggest countries in the world is ready to introduce "visa-free" travel for Ukrainians
The Ambassador of China to Ukraine Du Wei said the Chinese government is ready to introduce a “visa-free regime” with Ukraine on the mutually applicable basis.
The Chinese government is willing to introduce visa-free regime with Ukraine based on the common understanding between the two countries, said Chinese Ambassador to Ukraine Du Wei.
 "The Chinese side is ready at any time at the request of both sides, on the basis of equality and mutual benefit, to adopt new measures that would ease visit and travel of people between our countries, including visa-free regime", - he said at a press conference on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Ukraine in Kyiv on Friday.

Two years from now, that is from 2019, Ukrainians would be free to choose their electricity provider. 
Last week, Ukraine made a huge step towards civilized rules in the energy sector; the parliament passed the law related to the electricity market, which allows consumers to choose for themselves the provider of electricity to their homes, offices and other places. Certainly, a big reform in the energy sector of Ukraine.
 
Applicants from the occupied territories of Donbas will be given admission to Universities without the compulsory external independent exam and pass certificates
(However, applicants should have a Ukrainian passport).
Applicants from temporarily occupied areas of Donbas, for the academic session 2017, will be able to join Ukrainian universities without the mandatory external evaluation test and internal class exam certificates. The press release of the Ministry education reported.
It further informed that for applicants hailing from the occupied territories, special education centers “Donbas-Ukraine” would be operated in the Government controlled regions of Donetsk and Luhansk. The desirous candidates need not sit in the external test and are neither required to produce certificates of completion of grade(s) 9 or 11, but they must possess Ukrainian passport(s).
The students from the ‘war-hit’ region can come (reach) the special education centers and appear in the test of the Ukrainian language and history of Ukraine, as well as one of the subject or discipline selected by them. After the exam, students will participate in the general competition for admission to the university along with other applicants.
The centers will operate from 19 June at the universities designated for displaced Ukrainians in the regions of Vinnitsya, Kyiv, Dnieper, Bakhmut, Kramatorsk Kremennaya, Krivoy Rig, Konstantinovka, Pokrovskomu, Leymani, Lysychansk, Mariupol, Rubizhne, Severodonetsk, Starobelsk, Sumy, Slovyansku, Kharkiv, and Toretsku.
 
Ukrainian gymnast Vernyayev bags "gold-medal" at the European Championship
Ukrainian Oleg Vernyayev became European champion in sporting gymnastics which took place in the city of Kluji, Romania on 21st of April, 2017.
Oleg, an Olympic champion, won the title of winner of the tournament on the basis of his all-round performance in the competition. Oleg Vernyayev accumulated the highest 85.866 points and secured the ‘Gold-Medal’ for his country – Ukraine.
